Advancing the Art and Science of Dentistry including International Recognition
Striving for excellence in any field is an ongoing process, and to spearhead and implement the most up-to-date technology involves extensive continuing education and surrounding yourself with professionals who desire to teach and learn. We learn best by teaching others, and are stimulated by the questions, thoughts, challenges and experiences of those around us. This constantly makes me analyze “how could I make this a better experience or outcome for my patients.” I seize learning and advancement opportunities from my patients, my staff, my fellow instructors, and the students in my classes. I open my office regularly to dental assistants in training, as well as visiting dentists from the United States and Europe
who are likewise on the quest to best serve their patients and advance their practice. I also administer comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry to international clientele and royalty who absolutely recognize the cutting edge excellence, quality and service difference in dentistry that I provide here in the U.S.A. How do you sleep when there is so much to explore?

Caring about people and reducing the “Fear Factor”
Many people are frightened when going to the Dentist.
From the beginning , I take the extra time to assess my patients for comprehensive needs and discuss them in detail. I provide a head and neck cancer screening, and evaluate how my patients feel about their smile and any difficulties that may be related to their gums, teeth, breath, snoring, aesthetics, or their bite. Everything needs to be evaluated and addressed rather than putting the patient through the extra expense and inconvenience of not having treated things in the correct priority order the first time.
During procedures, my patients tell me I provide a “painless injection” for numbing teeth, and the office is equipped with headsets for favorite movies and music for maximum distraction during procedures. Specialized pillows, props, blankets, and hot towels are supplied for comfort. We also provide nitrous oxide, and I work with the patient’s physician to provide pre-appointment anti-anxiety treatment in individualized cases as indicated. I even tell jokes!
After a procedure, I give my patients major reassurance and security by personally calling them to elicit any questions or concerns, and assess for any problems before they develop. I then invite patients to call me at anytime, 24 hours a day, seven days per week. My house is only a 2- minute drive from the office, so I never hesitate to go in after hours to handle any patient urgent or emergency need. Unlike the T.V. show, it is my personal challenge to reduce the “Fear Factor!”
